Searching, with great pleasure and childish, it must be said, in the trunk of the family memorabilia, I fished out a pocket watch, not so old eye, absolutely superb, in its extreme simplicity: 's silver, polished' s work just mentioned with that flavor so much birtish essentially radical chic that I love, in a word, irresistible! And like all babies with Toy (meraviglia!) again, especially since (wonder of wonders) found for accident in an old trunk, booty 's eplorazione, I shall be seized without a fight! After proudly sported the New Year's Eve, at which it is absolutely dominates, as it celebrates a time, I paused to reflect on the act, intrinsically intense fascination to draw out the timepiece from his pocket, open it and get to the revelation . Surely it is an 'attitude cumbersome, unnatural after ninety wristwatch, reference to which an act was so absorbed by' Man, that even the slightest Vezzosi, every single game of fun, had been purged, to the maximum practical 's lawyer, who always have the time to reach d' eye, often holding the 'clock on the shirt cuff. Yet, the 'pocket watch has a distinctive nature, but of true distinction, of understatement: if' wristwatch, in its extreme practicality, distinguishes those who can afford the 'gold who should resign to plastic, the "onion "separate and severable, like an invisible wall, who can afford a watch and those who can not. No apology, no return to minimalism, poor banished all discovery materials, sunk every aspiration experiments, the pocket is an antique, and as such has its roots in discrimination pure and simple, not offensive, because obvious and natural, and yes of no. Nell 'was political correctness, the right at any cost, it's nice to be able to call the' old esprit d 'elite, opposed to the massification of good taste without all the' excellence, which is useless, pretty, complex, vain, prerogative those who can afford to spend a second to pull out the 'watch from his pocket, because he has already fulfilled its vital functions, and if it had not been done is more important to nurture the spirit, in accordance with tradition, do not bend to the yoke of history ....

Yesterday, in tedio of a evening at home, inspired from Cole Porter and his music, I found an old insert that advertised the "dinner jackets" of the SNIA Italian Wools (creed that was a coupon of fascist age). There, noticing that, in effects, six weeks to the Christmas Festivities, and that probably many people will have to wear the tuxedo, I have thought to stop to discuss a bit of this wonderful dress, true expression of the classic spirit and style. In effects, the tuxedo has around itself an allure of gorgeous elegance, a bit because, for its formal aspect, it is not the most diffused male dress, above all between young, (and still more in the " democratic dictatorship of the jeans" post years ' 70), a bit because, although it's an uniform, and has the most rigid rules for being worn correctly, its spread in atmospheres " à la page" it has made some the emblema of that high society, a bit dandy and a bit snob: for the tuxedo, carachters as 007 come to memory, Fred Astaire, Buster Keaton, but also the Duke of Windosr, great master of elegance, Gianni Agnelli lawyer, the brother-in-law of he, conte the Nuvoletti Naturally, date l' wide resonance that these and other personages have given to the tuxedo, many of we " municipalities mortali" they would be expectant to wear one. And here, then, to dull grey jackets, designs paisley tone on tone, revers from the indefinite form, poligonali buttons insomma kermesse for all i (bad) tastes! And, instead, to imbroccare the just tuxedo is not at all difficult: regulating on corporatura and age, the four accepted models will be chosen only dall' label: double or monochest with revers to nozzle; or double or monochest with revers sciallati. Made it saves l' only sciallato difference between the doppiopetto, that it stretches to introduce a rather deep neckline, and un' single fastening lowland of two buttons, and the doppiopetto to nozzle, with the classic fastening to four buttons, so as to favor the neckline, without however penalizing the structure of the log, the two main kinds of tuxedo are introduced, in all the details, identical: revers in shaved black (in the rare cases in which l' label allows to wear the jacket white woman, the revers will be of the woven one of the same one), pockets of the jacket without draw, the pantaloon is without implication neither pences, difetta of passing for the belt (comes held on from thin risers white women, or from the cummerbund wrap, it of silk that is connected while still alive) and introduces a lateral gallon in shaved black. The perfect tuxedo is declined in black or, to the maximum, in midnight blue, the version more dandy introduced from the Duca di Windsor. in order to wear it appropriately, it will be remembered to always hold l' only button of the jacket (covered in shaved, like those on the sleeves) connected. L' only justification to an open jacket is l' use of the vest, anch' black it, to three buttons, to bind together preferibilmente to the sciallato tuxedo, of stamp more classic. Detail attention goes date to the shirt: with it never tows to them beaten again up (the diplomatic collar it goes rigorously classified to the frac), introduces double polsino for the binoculars, talking nonsense to piegoline and, according to the cases, a row of buttons jewel, preferibilmente to bind together the binoculars (nell' more classic meaning, on perfectly stiff the talked nonsense one and inamidato, buttons in gold and onyx, perfect pendant with the polsini), or one wraps to cover the buttons, that they will be however of Australian nacre. Given the lack of a belt to tighten the life, or that the chosen model or on measure, or that or pret to porter, would have to be made to equip the shirt with a button sull' extremity lowland, to connect to a linguetta inner the pantaloon, so as to avoid l' effect balloon. Useless to remember that the bow tie goes absolutely knotted by hand, and it must be in absolute pendant with the cummerbund, to wear in lack of the vest and, consequently, the risers. If c' it is a case in which classic black Oxfords they are inadatte, that one is own l' coupling with the tuxedo: in effects, the indeed appropriated shoes would be the pumps from dance with the ribbon in grosgrain of silk but, more and more rare, they yield the step to the most contemporary black smooth slow combustion stoves in varnish. Alle shoes, will be bound together the stocking to the ginocchio of black silk. At last, never to indugiare on a cape to rotates, in soprabito case of: a black coat, better if Chesterfield model (with the collar in velvet), will be more than appropriated. Gloves in year-old calf or black pecary and, if they impose it to the temperatures, a borsalino from evening or, to the maximum, a small bomb; in any case, to the ban the cylinder (than, like the cape, goes bound together to the frac)! Consigliandovi the models of the collection Purple Label di Ralph Lauren for a touch of intimate vezzosità, I leave you with a famous one: curiosando in the store of Valentino, l' slid year, I have fished a tuxedo with jacket pied de poule white woman, to which dolcevita in cashmere was accompanied candid, than absolutely has struck by lightning to me to new evidence that, behind the monolithic rule, thousand roads hide in order to innovate, seppur with taste, that it is, d' however, the bespoke of the Traditional Revolution!
