Pioggia, freddo, vento: Inverno. E, quest' anno, oltre a giacche, maglioni, cappotti, sciarpe e guanti l' Uomo di stile avrà un' altra carta per giocare con il meteo ed il Gusto: i calzini. Troppo spesso relegati alla dimensione del "tanto, non si vedono", le calze da uomo sono effettivamente un accessorio fondamentale nel guardaroba e non solo perchè si vedono, eccome, ma soprattutto perche aggiungono un' allùre particolare alle mises più svariate: confinate i calzini bianchi di spugna nel borsone della palestra ed assumete come diktat che con l' abito si indossano solo clazini in filo di Scozia o caldo cotone blu o neri, per la sera (a meno che non ci si vesta di blu!), ricordando che, se si indossa lo smoking, i calzini saranno di seta nera a prescindere dalla stagione. Ciò detto, per tutti gli altri outfits sbizzarritevi pure a piacimento! Ad esempio, sono ormai da anni affermati i calzini di Gallo, a righe multicolori, elgantemente ariosi e liberi, da abbinare con jeans e maglione o, per i più arditi, anche con blazer e cravatta. Altra icona invernale sono i Burlington a rombi, con quell' aria molto preppy, i cui nobilissimi fratelli sono i preziosi Ballantyne in cashmere o filo di Scozia, da abbinare alle losanghe del maglione, ovviamente della stessa Maison. E se lo stile vuole essere formale e condensare la propria estrosità in un unico dettaglio, come non lasciarsi andare al molle lusso di un paio di Church's, in filato di lana merinos, quasi impalpabili, con una corona ricamata a mano sul lato della calza destra? O, ancora, come non cedere al richiamo della claze di Hermés, in fil d' Ecosse tinta unita, sormontate dall' H rigorosamente a contrasto o, emblema della sbarazzina eleganza alla francese, tono su tono? Quando il freddo punge, non possono assolutamente mancare i caldissimi calzini in cashmere della collezione Polo by Ralph Lauren, magari nell' iconico giallo crema, assoluta espressione di un' eleganza mai ingessata, ma in continuo movimento, percorrendo i sentieri della Traditonal Revolution...
